PreProtein was introduced in 1976 and initially formulated for hospitals and pharmacies.

What is the source of protein in PreProtein?

Kosher-certified bovine (beef) collagen is the protein source in all PreProtein products. PreProtein does not contain any whey or soy.

Who uses PreProtein?

PreProtein is used by everyday individuals, medical professionals, healthcare institutions, and across multiple patient applications.

Does PreProtein need to be refrigerated?

PreProtein does not require refrigeration, even when the container is opened. We suggest storing PreProtein around room temperature. Once opened, we recommend consuming the product within 90 days for maximum potency.

Is PreProtein compatible with feeding tubes?

Yes, PreProtein can be used through a feeding tube. After use, flush with 30-60mL of water.

Where is PreProtein commonly utilized?

It is used in surgical weight-loss centers, dialysis treatment centers, long-term care facilities, hospitals, pharmacies, and by nutrition consultants.

Can PreProtein be mixed?

Yes, PreProtein can be consumed straight from the container or may be mixed with any beverage.

Is PreProtein suitable for diabetics?

All PreProtein products are sugar-free.

What is the viscosity of PreProtein?

PreProtein is a nectar-like liquid (at room temperature). According to the IDDSI classification system, PreProtein is a Level 2 (Mildly thick).

Is PreProtein suitable for individuals with milk allergies?

PreProtein does not contain whey protein, nor does it contain milk or dairy.

PreProtein is classified as a dietary supplement and is available without a prescription.

How can we order?

There are 2 different methods to obtain PreProtein for your hospital, pharmacy, or healthcare facility:

Method 1: We are currently accepting direct supplier agreements with hospitals and pharmacies and are able to supply them directly with PreProtein. This is a more cost-effective solution for bulk purchasing and does not require a middleman such as a pharmaceutical distributor or GPO.

Method 2: Notify your buyer that you wish to order PreProtein. Your buyer will get in contact with their respective drug distributor's (US Foods, McKesson, Cardinal, Metro Medical, etc.) account manager and request PreProtein. If you cannot locate our NDC/item number in your ordering system, please use this method.
